Production

Any basic item produced will last for one event. An Apprentice crafter can create items with improved durability so they last for two events.
A Craftsman's items will last for three events and a Journeyman's for four. An item created by an Artisan can last for 5 events.
A Master crafted item can have many special or unique properties and can sometimes last up to 10 events!
This table shows the basic cost and some example Smithing skills for leveling your crafting skill in order to produce items.
Not all crafting advances to 50 Levels, this is just some example of the Smithing skills you would pick up as you advance your craft.

Magic Item Creation Calculator

Making magic items involves casting Rituals upon items and/or people. Ritual Magic, using the Advanced Magic skill, is a higher level of magic in the world and involves a complex combination of components and formulas. You can learn more about Ritual magic in the
Advance Magic section of the Skills page.

Some Advanced Magic Rituals used in item creation are shown in the table below.
LevelName Effect Components Design Form
1 Enchantment Imbue an item xN, e, M (x = number of effects/spells) Unique Index
2 Force ResistanceStrengthen item to resist destruction xN, xF, xW, 2M (x = number of resists) Unique Index Focused
3 Extend EnchantmentImprove item usage to per Event xN, 1S, e, 3M (x = number of effects/spells) Bipartite Focused Compass
4 Tether Link an item to a person's Spirit xS, N, 4e, 4M (x = target's current Spirit) Bipartite Summit Triadic
5 Force Immunity Make an item immune to destruction 5N, 5F, 5W, 5M Bipartite Empty Triadic
6 Empower EnchantmentImprove item usage to per Day xN, 2S, e, 6M (x = number of effects/spells) Tripartite True Triadic
7 Disenchant Remove an item's magic 1N, xF, xA, M (x = item power level) Unique Index
8 Destroy Magic Remove a magical effect 2N, 8F, 8A, 8M Bipartite Variable Compass
9 Capture Enchantment Create an item which may store a single skill 2N, 1E, 1A, 1F, 1W, 9M, 9S Tripartite Inlaid Tridenary Triadic
10 Channel EnchantmentImprove item usage to per Refresh xN, 3S, e, 10M (x = number of effects/spells) Tripartite Focused Triadic

Magic items are constrained by how much power may be put into them based on the skill or spell being enchanted as well as it's power in use. For instance, a magic rod which holds a single spell which is expended upon a single use is less powerful than a rod which holds 3 spells which may be used and refreshed daily. Some items may have resistances or even be indestructible. These facets also factor in to the item's power level. So, the strength of the spells or abilities stored as well as its usage and durability help determine the power level of an item. Items may only hold up to 20 power levels.

Here is a calculator to help understand the levels of power used in crafting magic items:
